Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to common questions about podiatry care, appointments, payment options and more.
What is a podiatrist, and what do they do?
A podiatrist is a registered healthcare professional who specialises in the assessment and management of lower-leg and foot problems — from skin and nail concerns to sports injuries and post-surgical rehabilitation. Our team have over 25 years combined experience.
What is a Foot Therapist, and what do they do?
A Foot Therapist is a trained foot-care professional who works alongside our podiatrists, focusing on routine skin and nail care, hard skin and callus management, and treatments such as The Podicure®. They help keep your feet healthy and comfortable, and refer on to a podiatrist whenever a concern needs further clinical assessment. For more info.
Will Health Insurance cover my treatment / orthotics?
Many insurers contribute toward podiatry treatment and orthotics, though cover varies by policy. We recommend checking with your provider — we're happy to supply any documentation you need to make a claim. Please note, currently most insurance providers do not cover treatment performed by a Foot Therapist.
What sort of appointment do I need?
If you're unsure, simply give our reception team a call and describe your concern — we'll match you with the right clinician and appointment type, whether that's general care, a biomechanical assessment, or The Podicure®.
Can you make my feet look better?
Yes. We developed The Podicure® — a bespoke medical pedicure performed in our hygienic clinical setting using only the highest-quality products, safely restoring your skin and nails.
How long will my appointment take?
Most standard appointments run 30–45 minutes. Initial assessments and biomechanical appointments may take a little longer — our team will let you know when you book.

Is my appointment covered by ACC?
We are ACC-registered health providers. If your injury was caused by an accident and you're eligible, we'll file a claim on your behalf — ACC provides a partial payment toward your fee, reducing the cost to you.
What should I bring to my appointment?
Please bring any relevant footwear, current orthotics, a list of medications, and any imaging or referral letters you may have. Wearing comfortable clothing helps if a movement assessment is needed.
