About Us

Capital Podiatry Centre has evolved from Capital Sports & City Podiatry; we have been helping the wider Wellington region for more than 30 years.

In our exciting new premise, we have established a podiatry centre of excellence and expanded our core brands; Motion+ Lab, Advanced Foot Therapy and Podicure.

We’re only a stone’s throw away from our previous location on Featherston Street, within Capital Sports Medicine. With purpose-built treatment rooms, expert podiatric reception, administration, and a clinical assistant to help our busy clinicians, we achieve greater focused care for our patients.

Capital Podiatry Centre is a partner of Resonance, with our common goal of coming together for collegiality, support and leading-edge business and clinical tools – all underpinned by an ethic of excellence and collaboration. We strive to inspire and connect, to engender trust and feel comfortable. We believe that these values facilitate positive change to all those that we meet.

We welcome collaboration.
It is at the heart of what we do.

We work alongside other health professionals and maintain relationships with some of the best physiotherapists, massage therapists, GPs, Sports Physicians, Pilates & Yoga instructors, nutritionists, dermatologists & Orthopaedic surgeons Wellington has to offer.

Meet the Team

Katie is an experienced sports and musculoskeletal rehabilitation podiatrist that strives to improve the health outcomes of her patients and deliver a unique and professional approach to patient-centered, personalised care. She has expertise in a wide range of clients, from the participant in everyday life to the elite athlete.

Katie operates leading edge dual camera 2D technology and is equipped to provide 3D walking and running assessments. With 15 years’ experience and working in a collaborative environment, Katie offers comprehensive treatment and management plans to her patients.

Additionally, Katie is Wellington’s RPW Shockwave expert, helping to reset the body’s natural healing process for those chronic complaints such as heel pain (plantar fasciitis) and Achilles tendinopathy.

Katie is passionate about her work, and it keeps her on her toes along with her husband and two school aged children! When she gets a moment to herself, she likes working out, getting stuck into a good book and loves some retail therapy.

Bronwyn has been working as a podiatrist in private clinics for over 8 years and continues to grow her knowledge and technique with each additional year. She has worked with the very young, to the older adult and feels comfortable with everything in between.

Bronwyn is passionate about having podiatry which is available and relevant for all – helping develop the Resonance Podicure for those who want comfortable and beautiful feet and becoming an expert in utilising the Keryflex nail restoration system for people who might be embarrassed about their damaged toenails. She advocates for the benefits of people improving their knowledge of self-care, and confidence in their bodies and feet.

Her main goal in her work is improving function and comfort of all her clients, whether this be through general nail and skin care, biomechanical assessment and management of foot and lower limb conditions, or footwear advice.

When she is not at work Bronwyn enjoys getting outdoors, be it diving, bushwalking, or simply getting out in the garden; or baking for community organizations.

Ryan is an Australian Podiatrist who graduated from Charles Sturt University (CSU).

Prior to joining the team at Capital Sports Podiatry, Ryan was working for a biomechanics focused podiatry practice in Singapore for 4-years.

Ryan’s primary clinical specialty is in biomechanics and foot orthotics prescriptions, and he is as comfortable helping resolve muscle and joint pains suffered by urban adults right through to athletes. He is also well-known for his painless and aesthetically driven surgical approach for resolving ingrown toenails and nail infections.

Ryan is trained in medical shockwave applications for non-surgical treatment of musculoskeletal conditions such as heel pain, Achilles tendinopathy and knee pain. Growing up with a strong representation in rugby, cross-country running, and competitive skiing; Ryan understands the importance of functioning at peak performance, which can be achieved through effective management of musculoskeletal injuries and well round care of the lower limb.

Patients who are familiar with Ryan remember him for his warm Aussie personality, his calm and courteous demeanor, and his reliable treatment outcomes.

Chantelle is a British Podiatrist, with her prior experience in a musculoskeletal focused clinic in Singapore for the past 4 years. Apart from treating adults for conditions such as chronic heel pain and Achilles tendon injuries with her
uniquely gentle approach, Chantelle also connects very well with young children, treating a wide variety of paediatric cases. Patients who come to her for advice often comment that she is very warm-hearted and patient, whilst being very detailed in her clinical explanations of lower limb conditions.

Chantelle’s interest in podiatry grew as she discovered it is often the preferred conservative method for treating sports-related injuries. This interest has continued to shape her clinical practice today, by utilising treatments such as shockwave therapy to aid in her patient’s recovery and function.

Whether dealing with chronic pain concerns or soft tissue injuries like ingrown toenails and warts, Chantelle’s view of attention to patient-centred care and well-thought-out treatment plans, allows her patients’ to achieve optimal long term outcomes.

Outside of work, Chantelle is keen on exploring and learning about other cultures around the world with a love for interacting with new people and gaining life experiences. She also is often transported to new places with her passion for reading.

Katrina is the Clinical Assistant for Capital Podiatry Centre.

Graduating with a Bachelor of Biomedical Science from VUW, she has always had a special interest in health and medicine. You’ll find her working alongside Katie and Bronwyn to assist them in their work and to ensure the smooth day to day running of the clinic.

Her favourite way to enjoy her spare time is connecting with friends and family and making the most of the outdoors with her dog Sirius.
